Tony’s journey in basketball began as a driven and talented member of Rep Squad Basketball competition before moving into the Semi Professional ranks. Through his own experiences he developed a deep understanding of the game, its intricacies, and the dedication required to excel.

At the age of 14, Charles began playing basketball in the Amateur Athletic Union national tournaments in the US. From the age of 15, Charles began receiving basketball recruitment offers from US college coaches. He finally accepted a scholarship from Seward Community College. Charles was forced to give up his plans to accept an offer to play for Iowa State University after a car accident broke his foot.

After moving to Australia, Charles played semi-pro for the Melbourne teams Altona Gators and Craigieburn Eagles. Further injuries led to Charles full retirement as a player and he became a basketball agent and Juniors coach. Charles is passionate about promoting Australia’s great, unknown talent to the rest of the world.
